🎁 Teen holiday heroes

Good morning, Ross County. The holiday spirit is taking shape early as Integrated Services launches their "Adopt A Teen For The Holidays" initiative, inviting the community to ensure local teenagers aren't forgotten during the festive season. With donations accepted through December 5th at Roweton School, there's ample time to show our young people they're valued members of our community—perhaps the most meaningful gift of all.

Meanwhile, artificial intelligence is becoming less science fiction and more practical reality at Ohio University's Chillicothe campus. Free workshops throughout fall are demystifying tools like ChatGPT for everyday use, with hands-on sessions designed for both beginners and those looking to refine their AI skills. In less uplifting news, a walk toward Yoctangee Park turned into a serious legal matter for two adults now facing child endangerment charges after police observed suspicious behavior while they cared for a child in a stroller.

The Chillicothe campus is hosting two community workshops this fall covering popular AI tools like ChatGPT and effective prompting techniques. Interim Dean Mike Lafreniere explains these sessions aim to make artificial intelligence "approachable and useful for everyone." The introductory "Unlocking the Power of AI" workshop will feature hands-on activities with various AI tools, while the advanced "Mastering AI Prompting" session teaches participants to craft more effective prompts. Both workshops will be held in Bennett Hall with multiple dates available throughout October and November.
