Good morning, Ross County. The rockets' red glare took a destructive turn on South Brownell Street this weekend when fireworks damaged multiple vehicles, despite Chillicothe's city-wide ban on such displays. While fireworks may be legal statewide on July 5, local authorities are investigating the incident as criminal damaging and urging witnesses to come forward with information or footage that might shed light on Saturday night's chaos.

Meanwhile, history came alive at the Ross County Heritage Center as re-enactor Curt Radabaugh transformed into George Washington, captivating audiences with his passionate portrayal of our first president. On the law enforcement front, Independence Day kept Chillicothe police particularly busy with 13 incidents ranging from domestic disputes at Jerry's Pizza to traffic violations and stalking complaints, proving that even on holidays, our officers remain vigilant throughout the community.
