🎭 Action and Culture

Ross County • February 7, 2025

Good morning, Ross County. If Netflix is looking for their next hit police procedural, they might want to set up shop in Chillicothe. Our local law enforcement just logged the kind of day that would fill an entire season's worth of episodes - from high-stakes shoplifting pursuits at Walmart to dramatic hit-and-runs, all while keeping our streets safe with strategic speed enforcement operations.

But while our officers were writing their own action-packed script, Ohio University Chillicothe is preparing to write a different kind of history. The upcoming Black History Month celebration promises to transform Bennett Hall into a vibrant tapestry of African American culture, complete with the soul-stirring sounds of the Unified Choir and the rhythmic pulse of African drums. From sirens to spirituals, it's just another remarkable day in Ross County.
