Meanwhile, Trotwood's Officer Tyrone Derrick earned national recognition for his extraordinary youth programs, including book clubs and mental health initiatives that are building bridges between police and students throughout the district.

🏞️ Miamisburg unveils massive $10.3 million park transformation. Sycamore Trails Park's complete renovation includes new pavilions, playgrounds, sports courts, and nearly two miles of paved walking trails throughout the 75-acre nature space. The park now features specialized areas like pickleball courts, an adult fitness zone with equipment for 20 users, and a children's obstacle course designed for various physical activities. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for September 6, featuring tournaments, food trucks, and community activities. This marks the first major upgrade to one of the city's oldest parks since 1995, funded primarily through the city's General Fund Reserves.
