Preble County • August 21, 2025
Good morning, Preble County. From pizza ovens to phone lines, significant changes are heating up our region this week. Bella Sorella Pizza is making the leap from beloved food truck to brick-and-mortar restaurant, bringing their wood-fired specialties to a permanent Clayton location on September 12. After nearly a decade of mobile pizza-making focused on "fresh food, family, and community," they're finally putting down roots between Esther Price and the Kleptz YMCA.
Meanwhile, Middletown officials are working to restore normalcy following a cybersecurity attack that has disrupted city services. Though in-person functions like utility billing and police records remain unavailable, emergency lines have been established and the Municipal Court continues operating on schedule. In more somber news, an Indiana woman will serve jail time and face a three-year license suspension following a fatal crash that claimed the life of 64-year-old Rodger Flannery after she failed to yield at an intersection.

🔒 Middletown establishes emergency phone lines after cybersecurity attack. The incident has disrupted several city functions, forcing the closure of in-person services including police records, utility billing, and health department services. While utility payments can still be made online, the city has assured residents that no utilities will be shut off due to nonpayment during this disruption. Emergency services remain operational through 911, and the Municipal Court continues to run on its normal schedule.
