Good morning, Preble County. Behind every academic achievement lies countless hours of dedication and perseverance. Just ask Noah Becker, Natalie Bentz, and EricaRae Herrick – local students who've earned spots on Miami University's prestigious spring dean's list. Their recognition, reserved for undergraduates in the top 20% of their divisions, represents far more than just good grades – it's a testament to the academic excellence flourishing in our community's next generation.

As summer unfolds across our county, the calendar is filling with opportunities to connect. The 102nd Monroe Alumni Association banquet kicks off a season packed with community gatherings, while infrastructure projects bring temporary road closures to Pleasant Valley and Magill Roads. Amid these updates, we're also holding space for the family of Mark Angle, the 52-year-old Arcanum man who tragically lost his life in a garage accident last week – a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly life can change.
