Good morning, Powell. Eric Carle's hungry caterpillar made a special appearance at the Ohio State Fair as Second Lady Usha Vance joined First Lady Fran DeWine for a summer reading session with young fairgoers. The event, part of Vance's "Second Lady Summer Reading Challenge," brought literature to life while Governor DeWine captured the moment through his camera lens. Even DeWine's themed caterpillar earrings made their debut for the occasion, delighting the gathered children.
Around town, traffic patterns are shifting as Union County road projects create a maze of closures extending into 2025. U.S. 42 southbound closes this week, while the SR 161 eastbound ramp to U.S. 33 remains shuttered until next summer. Meanwhile, Marysville City Council convenes tonight at 7 p.m. to tackle six ordinances, including annexation matters and a development agreement with Amazon Data Services that could reshape the local economic landscape.
