Good morning, Powell. Multi-platinum country star Gabby Barrett is bringing her chart-topping hits to Hilliard's Freedom Fest this July 4th, transforming Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park into a celebration of both independence and impressive musical talent. The free event promises more than just Barrett's "Life I'm Living Tour" performance – attendees can enjoy opening acts, fireworks, food trucks, and family-friendly activities starting at 5:15 p.m., making it the perfect summer gathering for music lovers and patriotic celebrants alike.

Adventure seekers have reason to celebrate as Gahanna unveils its new mountain bike trail at Academy Park, the culmination of an eight-year journey from community vision to reality. The nearly three-mile trail features terrain designed for all skill levels, funded through Issue 12 dollars approved in 2022. Meanwhile, changes are underway at Ohio State University as the institution removes its LGBTQ+ website ahead of Pride Month, citing alignment with upcoming state legislation that takes effect later this summer.

The university cited Senate Bill 1, which targets diversity programs at public universities but doesn't actually take effect until June 27. OSU spokesman Ben Johnson claimed the website violated the upcoming law's provisions against programs that primarily benefit specific groups.
