Powell • June 3, 2025
Good morning, Powell. The threads of community are woven tightly in our town, as evidenced by the passing of Shirley Ann Drumm, whose needle and thread created wedding dresses and band uniforms while her heart stitched together five decades of family memories. Her legacy as seamstress, business owner, and mentor represents the fabric of small-town life that holds communities like ours together through generations.
The circle of community continues with the loss of Scott Cloud, whose concrete business built solid foundations throughout the region, much like the family bonds he cherished. Meanwhile, North Union's FFA officers are cementing their own legacies, earning gold ratings at the state convention through meticulous record-keeping and communication skills. These young leaders demonstrate the same dedication to service that our community has long valued in its most cherished members.
