Cleveland City Council approved the sale of five city-owned lots near East 90th Street and Chester Avenue to make way for the $21 million project. The 127-room hotel will cater to families visiting patients at the Cleveland Clinic, allowing them to stay just "five doors down" from the medical facility. Developer Ortho School Properties plans to include amenities like a fitness center and meeting space, creating 37 permanent jobs with approximately $1 million in annual payroll. The project still requires design review and Planning Commission approval before construction can begin.
⛳ New indoor golf venue swings into Shaker Heights. Five Iron Golf opened its newest 16,000-square-foot facility at the Van Aken District with a grand opening on October 16. The two-level entertainment complex features 10 golf simulators, Detroit Duckpin bowling, a full-service bar, and food options.
