Good morning, Portage County. The Portage community is mourning the loss of Pam Langlotz, a creative spirit and dedicated volunteer whose 25-year career at Kinetico Incorporated was just one chapter in her remarkable life story. The 54-year-old wife and mother of three, known for her legendary gift-wrapping skills and quiet generosity, transformed not just her century home in Munson Township, but also the lives of those she touched through her work with United Way and Habitat for Humanity.

Food safety concerns have prompted The Original Cheese Factory Co-Op in Middlefield to recall 900 pounds of cheese due to potential listeria contamination, while hungry locals can look forward to a tastier alert: Streetsboro's Food Truck Days kick off August 25 at City Hall. With Roll Call Burgers, Black Kettle BBQ, and more scheduled through October, these lunchtime feasts offer the perfect excuse to escape the office and enjoy some fresh air with your fresh fare.

🧀 Ohio cheese co-op recalls 900 pounds due to listeria contamination. The Middlefield-based Original Cheese Factory Co-Op initiated the recall after testing revealed listeria monocytogenes in cheese produced on specific dates in June and July. Affected products include grass-fed pepper jack, Monterey jack, and horseradish-flavored cheese distributed throughout Ohio between July 14 and August 7. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers are advised to return or dispose of affected products. The company has suspended production while investigating the source, which was determined to be environmental contamination that migrated to food-contact areas.
