Good morning, Portage County. The stars have aligned for rock music fans in Northeast Ohio with the announcement that A Day To Remember and Yellowcard will bring their Maximum Fun Tour to Blossom Music Center next September. This rare collaboration between two alt-rock powerhouses promises to shake the grounds of Cuyahoga Falls with anthems like "The Downfall of Us All" and "Ocean Avenue"—giving locals a chance to secure tickets for what's sure to be one of 2025's most memorable concert events.

While music enthusiasts mark their calendars, art lovers can immerse themselves in "The Golden Age," Holocaust survivor Shlomo Katz's first exhibition in 30 years at Beachwood's Roe Green Gallery. His unique gold leaf paintings might provide a luminous escape from Thursday's forecast, as the National Weather Service warns of severe storms east of I-77 bringing potential hail and damaging winds. Consider viewing the exhibition during Friday's cooler temperatures, when the weather calms but the artwork continues to glow.

🎨 Israeli artist's first exhibition in 30 years debuts in Beachwood. "The Golden Age" showcases Shlomo Katz's unique technique of painting with oil on gold leaf, creating vibrant works that glow with light. The Holocaust survivor's daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters traveled from New York and Tel Aviv to honor his legacy at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Roe Green Gallery. Though Katz died suddenly in 1992 at age 55, his family hopes this exhibition will revive recognition of his importance in Israeli art. The gallery will host open houses and curator talks through August 26.
