Good morning, Portage County. In an era when cybersecurity threats loom large, Burton Township's recent email breach offers a refreshing success story. Thanks to Fiscal Officer Katie O'Neill's swift action and timely assistance from the Geauga County Automatic Data Processing board, what could have been a digital disaster was averted within hours—proof that preparedness and quick thinking remain our best defense against modern threats.

Community spirit continues to flourish throughout the region, from the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary's bustling Cinco de Mayo meeting (complete with plans for Renaissance Family Center benches) to Chagrin Falls students joining forces with alumni for Earth Day village beautification. The district's impressive showing at the Dazzle Awards—with "Godspell" earning nominations for Best Musical and Technical Execution—demonstrates how our youth continue to shine both on stage and in service to their communities.
