Burning River Swing is set to heat up the Bainbridge dance floor on June 7, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. followed by lessons for newcomers and live music that'll keep feet moving until 10 p.m. For those whose tastes run more culinary than choreographic, Cru Uncorked in Moreland Hills is hosting an exclusive tasting event on May 7 to benefit the International Culinary Arts & Sciences Institute—gourmet indulgence that supports a worthy cause.

In deeply troubling news from Akron, a 12-year-old boy has died following forced ice baths used as punishment. The child's body temperature had fallen to a deadly 74 degrees before he was rushed to the hospital. The accused, Anthony McCants, now faces murder charges in this heartbreaking case that has shocked the community and raised urgent questions about child welfare and protection.
