Jean Turcotte

Jean (John) Turcotte, 87, of Streetsboro, passed away on April 16, 2025, after living a full life that began in Quebec, Canada in 1938. He was married to his beloved wife Debra for 50 years and leaves behind daughters, a step-daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss his cheerful personality. John worked at Ford Motor Company's Walton Hills Stamping plant for 50 years until his retirement in 2007, where he was known by the nickname "Frenchie." During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports, fishing, solving puzzles, and trying his luck with lottery tickets.

Christie A. Zirkle

Christie A. Zirkle, 82, of Shalersville, passed away on April 19, 2025 at her home. Born in Monessen, PA, she is survived by her husband Earl, children Stephanie and Wade, and grandchildren Brittany Grace and Patrick. The family expressed special gratitude to their neighbors of over 50 years for their support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Portage County APL or Happy Trails Animal Sanctuary.

Jay LeBlanc

Jay Adrain LeBlanc, 59, of Kent, Ohio, passed away on April 10, 2025. A Louisiana native and U.S. Navy veteran, he earned a master's degree from William & Mary and was known for his love of history, scuba diving, reading, and his ability to build or fix almost anything. Jay was famous for his terrible dad jokes and is survived by his mother, three daughters, former spouse, sister, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A private graveside ceremony with military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Mont W Miller Jr.

Mont W. Miller, Jr., a 74-year-old former corrections officer from Ravenna, passed away on April 20, 2025, at UH Portage Medical Center. Born in 1950 to Mont Sr. and Dorothy Miller, he worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice until retirement. Mont is survived by his wife Judith, whom he married in 1991, four children, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two siblings, while being preceded in death by his parents, daughter Valerie, and brother Ken. Following his wishes, he was cremated with no services planned.
