🎨 Art Walk Revival

Portage County • February 20, 2025

Good morning, Portage County. Art has a way of breaking down barriers, and this March, Akron's Historic Arts District is dismantling them all. The reimagined ArtWalk isn't just switching to Thursday evenings – it's creating a revolutionary space where creativity knows no bounds, complete with sensory buses and quiet rooms that ensure everyone can be part of the masterpiece.

While the arts scene opens new doors, other local institutions are closing familiar ones. Blossom Music Center's beloved Lawnie Pass is taking its final bow after years of summer concert magic, though with headliners like Jason Aldean and Keith Urban already lined up, the music plays on. Meanwhile, a more serious note: swift action by local law enforcement recently thwarted a concerning threat to Woodridge schools, reminding us that community safety remains our highest priority.
