Good morning, Pike County. The cost of putting a roof over your head in Chillicothe continues climbing skyward, with apartment rentals jumping 6% since last year to a median $950 monthly. While that might sting local wallets, there's a silver lining – our rental prices remain a remarkable 51% below the national average, making our corner of Ohio a relative bargain despite the upward trend.

Meanwhile, significant changes are unfolding across our region. Scioto County Commissioner Bryan Davis faces an uncertain future following his suspension amid 13 felony charges related to alleged corruption. On a lighter note, history buffs and thrill-seekers alike are marking their calendars for September 20th, when Chillicothe's popular Ghost Walk returns to transform downtown into a playground of paranormal exploration. The annual fundraiser continues drawing curious visitors eager to encounter the spectral side of our historic streets.
