🥧 Pie road ahead

Pike County • April 18, 2025

Good morning, Pike County. As the calendar flips toward May, our community is blossoming with seasonal activities. Hirsch Fruit Farm is embracing spring's bounty with their Easter pie-making class this Saturday, offering locals the chance to transform fresh apples into delectable pastry masterpieces. The $60 session promises to be as sweet as the desserts participants will create—though you'll need to secure your spot quickly as spaces are limited.

While some roads may lead to pie-making adventures, others in Scioto County are leading nowhere at all this week. Multiple closures and restrictions, from Junior Furnace-Powellsville Road to Pond Run's 90-day bridge replacement project, are reshaping travel routes. Amid these detours, Jackson residents can find a moment of community connection at Manpower Park on May 2, where the Arbor Day celebration will include free trees—perfect timing as spring takes root across our region.
