🏍 Creek getaway

Pike County • March 5, 2025

Good morning, Pike County. The heartbeat of a community is often measured by how we respond when neighbors need help. Ross County's Hope Clinic is sending out an urgent call for medical volunteers as patient numbers continue to climb, reminding us that sometimes the most valuable resource isn't funding or facilities – it's simply showing up. They'll provide the training; you provide the commitment of just one Monday per month to make a tangible difference in someone's healthcare journey.

Meanwhile, Monday delivered a splash of drama when a dirt bike chase ended with Jonathan Lewis taking an unplanned creek plunge after fleeing deputies. On a warmer note, Pike Outreach's Valentine Dinner fundraiser proved that love truly conquers all, selling out completely this year. With the Waverly Leo Club serving guests and community support overflowing, it seems Pike County knows how to pour its heart into worthy causes year-round.

No medical degree is required to volunteer, as the clinic will provide training on taking vitals and other necessary skills. Those interested can apply through the clinic's website at www.hopeclinicfree.org. The call for volunteers comes as patient numbers continue to increase, highlighting the essential role community members play in supporting local healthcare access.
