Good morning, Pickaway County. East Main Street in Columbus is getting a colorful makeover with the new "Murals on Main" initiative bringing vibrant public art to the corridor. The first unveiled piece, "The Moth Within," captures the spirit of transformation with its caterpillar and moth imagery—a fitting symbol as another beloved local institution undergoes its own metamorphosis for 2025.

Speaking of transformations, the Circleville Tiger Band is marching back to state finals after a six-year hiatus, following stellar performances at recent competitions. Their resurgence comes just in time to herald the return of the "Greatest Free Show on Earth"—the Circleville Pumpkin Show—which will once again transform downtown with parades, entertainment, and those jaw-dropping giant pumpkins from October 14-18. Last year's 2,226-pound champion has set the bar impressively high for this year's weigh-in competitors.

🎨 Columbus brightens East Main Street with vibrant new mural initiative. "Murals on Main" aims to beautify the corridor through large-scale public art that celebrates local culture and history. Spearheaded by City Councilmember Lourdes Barroso de Padilla, the project partners with the East Main Street Special Improvement District to commission works from local artists. The first unveiled mural, "The Moth Within" by Justin Withrow, features a caterpillar and moth symbolizing growth and transformation in the Fairmoor neighborhood. Additional murals are planned for announcement in the future.
