Pickaway County • June 17, 2025
Good morning, Pickaway County. Creativity and community spirit are shining brightly this summer! Emma Sims has brought double honors home with her remarkable Best of Show wins at the Pickaway County Fair, where her intricate Lego construction and detailed colored pencil artwork captured judges' attention. Both masterpieces remain on display at the Ankrom building for fairgoers to admireβa testament to the artistic talent flourishing in our community.
The entertainment calendar is filling up nicely as Circleville's inaugural Movie in the Park drew over 150 residents for a magical evening under the stars watching Moana 2. Hampton Inn's fresh waffle station proved to be the unexpected hit of the night, serving up 300 sweet treats while children explored fire trucks and collected glow sticks. With three more films scheduled in the coming months, these community gatherings offer a perfect counterpoint to the week's more sobering news of a high-speed chase that ended in a dramatic arrest near Tim Hortons.
