⚖️ Circleville man found guilty of raping and exploiting teenage victim. Mark E. Whaley, 53, was convicted following a two-day trial in Pickaway County Court where the victim testified against him. Evidence included the teen's preserved items, surveillance footage from Walmart where Whaley bought condoms, and his own partial confession to investigators. After three hours of deliberation, the jury found him guilty of rape, compelling prostitution, and gross sexual imposition. Whaley remains in custody at Pickaway County Jail awaiting sentencing.
