Pickaway County • February 11, 2025
Good morning, Pickaway County. When it comes to small-town law enforcement, Circleville just had its own version of "72 Hours" - minus the Hollywood drama. Our local police force tackled everything from domestic disturbances to stolen vehicles in a three-day marathon that would make even Jack Bauer break a sweat. While Franklin Street seemed to be this season's hotspot, our officers proved they can handle multiple plotlines better than any TV series.
Meanwhile, our community is saying farewell to two remarkable souls who shaped Pickaway County in their own unique ways. Arlene Hart, one of Ohio's pioneering female nursing home administrators, and Howard Parker, whose DuPont career and military service represented the backbone of our community, have left legacies that will echo through generations. Their stories remind us that the real heroes often walk quietly among us.
