Good morning, Muskingum County. Mark your calendars for America's milestone birthday bash! Ohio is planning over 50 events to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary in 2026, with activities ranging from winter hikes to kayaking adventures. The extensive schedule offers something for everyone as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources aims to connect residents with both their natural surroundings and national heritage through these commemorative experiences.

While you're making future plans, don't forget your umbrella today. The forecast calls for cloudy skies and afternoon rain with temperatures reaching 56 degrees—slightly cooler than the historical average but still mild for late October. Meanwhile, Perry County's Juvenile Court continues its important work keeping young offenders on the right track through programs like Car Teens, which successfully educated nine first-time traffic offenders and their parents this month—proving that sometimes the most important journeys are those that keep us heading in the right direction.
