Good morning, Muskingum County. A 152-year tradition continues this Memorial Day as Granville honors fallen heroes with cemetery ceremonies and a downtown parade. Mayor Melissa Hartfield will deliver the keynote address at Maple Grove Cemetery's 11 a.m. program, where the Land of Legend Chorus and Granville High School Band will fill the air with patriotic melodies before the solemn rifle salute and flag ceremony mark the day's significance.

Meanwhile, transitions are underway at the Perry County Health Department as they begin their phased relocation to the former "Perco Building" starting May 27. And for families who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a child during pregnancy, a meaningful new space is taking shape on Military Road. The Angel of Hope memorial garden, featuring an $18,000 angel statue, will soon provide a peaceful sanctuary where nature's beauty can offer comfort to grieving hearts when it opens this fall.
