Good morning, Montgomery County. A $1.1 billion economic boost isn't just a number—it's the remarkable impact Airbnb has delivered to Ohio's economy this year. The short-term rental platform has become a significant driver for local hosts and businesses alike, arriving at a time when Dayton's housing market continues its impressive climb with prices up 11% this year and a staggering 118% since 2014. The region's recognition as one of America's hottest housing markets underscores this remarkable transformation.

Coffee enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as Oregon-based Dutch Bros prepares to open its first Ohio location right here in Dayton this fall. Beyond new caffeine options, our community continues its proud peace-building legacy through two internationally recognized awards—the Dayton Peace Prize and Dayton Literary Peace Prize—both born from the historic 1995 Dayton Peace Accords. These awards don't just honor diplomats and authors; they foster meaningful conversations about conflict resolution and human understanding.

While the Peace Prize honors diplomats and world leaders like Nicholas Burns (this year's recipient), the Literary Prize celebrates authors whose works advance peace.
