🗳️ Democracy in action

Good morning, Montgomery County. Democracy isn't just a concept in history books—it's alive and evolving right in our community. The upcoming Imagining Community Symposium at Dayton's Arcade will bring together diverse voices from artists to scholars to tackle America's political climate through 33 interactive sessions. This convergence of minds represents our region's commitment to civic dialogue, much like Professor Natalie Hudson's selection to address NATO's Parliamentary Assembly on women's security—putting Dayton on the international stage once again.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County is taking meaningful steps toward addressing a critical community challenge by joining the Housing Justice Peer Network. With approximately 1,500 people returning from prison sentences annually, this initiative aims to remove barriers to stable housing—a fundamental building block for successful reintegration. These efforts reflect our community's dedication to both global thought leadership and practical solutions to local challenges.
