Good morning, Montgomery County. The international spotlight turns to Dayton this month as NATO's Parliamentary Assembly brings over 300 global dignitaries to our backyard. The upcoming "Dayton Dialogue" public forums offer residents a rare opportunity to engage with international leaders on peace, security, and economic partnerships—all you need are those free tickets to secure your seat at the University of Dayton's Roger Glass Center for these historic conversations.

Meanwhile, our arts community faces challenging headwinds as Culture Works grapples with the termination of crucial NEA funding, potentially impacting local grant programs. On a tastier note, Layne's Chicken Fingers is plotting a Miami Valley expansion with four new locations on the horizon. Their Texas-style tenders with signature sauce will soon join our increasingly competitive chicken restaurant scene, giving local foodies something fresh to cluck about early next year.

🍗 Texas chicken chain to bring four new restaurants to Dayton. Layne's Chicken Fingers franchisees are actively scouting locations north, east and south of the Dayton region, with the first restaurant expected to open early next year. The duo hopes to expedite the process by finding a second-generation restaurant space, taking approximately 90 days to secure the site and 6-8 months to open. Their menu features original or spicy chicken finger meals served with signature Layne's sauce, fries, Texas toast and a drink.
