Good morning, Meigs County. The record-breaking 20 riverboat visits scheduled for Marietta's riverfront next summer will create a wave of tourism unlike anything the historic Ohio city has seen before. With the American Heritage and American Melody making multiple stops during July and August 2025, local museums and landmarks are preparing for an influx of visitors eager to explore everything from Campus Martius Museum to Henderson Hall in nearby Williamstown—bringing a welcome economic boost to local businesses.

Meanwhile, hearts are full across our region—both literally and figuratively. Parkersburg Cardiology Associates is joining forces with the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute to enhance cardiovascular care throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley, while over at Belpre High School's Ralph Holder Stadium, nearly 400 special needs students experienced pure joy during Washington County's Snack and Field Day. Fifth-grader Johnathan Roach summed up the inclusive celebration perfectly: "I honestly love field days so much."
