💔 Community in mourning

Meigs County • January 29, 2025

Good morning, Meigs County. The fragility of life hit close to home this week, as our community mourns the tragic loss of 25-year-old Ariann Sizemore in a devastating crash on US-33. These moments remind us how quickly ordinary days can turn extraordinary, and how precious each moment truly is. Our hearts go out to all the families affected by recent tragedies in our region.

Yet even in difficult times, we see our community's resilience shining through. Wood County is taking bold steps to strengthen its emergency response services, establishing its first-ever ambulance advisory board. It's a powerful reminder that while we can't prevent every tragedy, we can work together to build stronger safety nets for our neighbors. Sometimes the most important changes start with putting the right pieces in place.
