🎨 Women of Appalachia

Meigs County • January 7, 2025

Good morning, Meigs County. Move over, metropolitan art scenes - Appalachia's creative powerhouses are stepping into the spotlight. The Women of Appalachia Project is about to transform The Dairy Barn Arts Center into a celebration of female artistic genius that would make Georgia O'Keeffe proud, showcasing everything from delicate watercolors to bold installations crafted by our region's most talented women.

Speaking of powerful female narratives, the Actors Guild of Parkersburg is bringing the inspiring story of Helen Keller to life this month. And for those seeking a moment of zen between all this cultural richness, Athens' new lunchtime meditation sessions are offering a mindful escape that fits perfectly between your morning coffee and afternoon meetings. Who says you can't find world-class arts and wellness in small-town America?
