Good morning, Marion County. The landscape of healthcare in Central Ohio is reaching new heights—quite literally—with Ohio State's towering 26-story hospital expansion set to open in 2026. This architectural marvel spans nearly 2 million square feet and will feature 820 private rooms flooded with natural light, combining cutting-edge technology with thoughtfully designed spaces for both physical and emotional healing. It's a forward-thinking response to our region's projected population growth to 3 million by mid-century.

Meanwhile, our community mourns the loss of beloved farmer Jim Pryor, whose life embodied the values of family and agriculture that run deep in Marion County soil. The Vietnam veteran and Elgin High School graduate passed away unexpectedly at 75, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. In transportation news, I-71 South in neighboring Delaware County has reopened following Sunday evening's injury accident near Lewis Center Road, though investigation details remain limited.
