Good morning, Marion County. Raw emotion meets musical catharsis in the latest album from Columbus slowcore quartet Six Flags Guy. Frontman Jonah Krueger has shifted from surrealist characters to deeply personal revelations about anxiety and depression on "You Look Terrible," creating what he describes as "almost like an exorcism" through the band's explosive dynamics. Mark your calendars for their June 7 album release celebration at Cafe Bourbon Street.

Meanwhile, community spaces are getting meaningful upgrades across the county. South Linden's Maloney Park has undergone a $1.9 million transformation with multi-generational appeal, featuring both children's playgrounds and adult fitness equipment. And at Ohio State University, a meaningful leadership transition is underway as seniors Ethan Dobres and Matt Levine—whose family connection to Hillel spans generations—step into co-president roles just as the campus Jewish organization approaches its centennial celebration.

🎸 Six Flags Guy confronts demons on raw new album "You Look Terrible." The Columbus slowcore quartet's latest release marks a shift toward more personal songwriting from frontman Jonah Krueger, who previously favored surrealist characters. Inspired by a period of isolation after moving to Columbus, the album balances intimate revelations about anxiety and depression with caustic commentary on late-stage capitalism. The band's explosive dynamics create cathartic moments that Krueger describes as "almost like an exorcism." Six Flags Guy will celebrate their album release on June 7 at Cafe Bourbon Street.
