🦃 Disabled hunters get special access to wild turkey season. The ODNR Division of Forestry hosted two special hunting events for disabled individuals at Pike and Blue Rock State Forests during April's first weekend. Participants, including several disabled veterans, brought their own equipment but were provided with guides to assist with mobility and harvesting. The Blue Rock event featured 23 hunters with over 60 guides, while Pike State Forest welcomed 16 hunters supported by more than 50 volunteers. These annual pre-season hunts offer what ODNR Division of Forestry Chief Dan Balser called "an unforgettable experience" for "such an inspiring group of hunters."
