Good morning, Jackson County. Law enforcement's commitment to protecting our community's most vulnerable took center stage this week as a multi-agency operation led to the arrest of a registered sexual predator from Texas. The collaboration between local sheriff's deputies and federal agents demonstrates how these partnerships create a stronger safety net for residents, particularly children who deserve our utmost protection.

Meanwhile, the wheels of justice continue turning in a decade-old murder case as two suspects entered not guilty pleas in Wood County Circuit Court. On a more hopeful note, Pike County residents facing winter utility challenges will find improved access to critical services as the Community Action Committee relocates its program headquarters just in time for the November 1st launch of the Winter Crisis Program—ensuring warmth remains accessible during the coldest months ahead.
