Good morning, Hocking County. Lancaster's creative scene is heating up as experienced glass artist Scott Fouche returns to his roots, bringing international expertise back home as the new Ohio Glass Museum studio manager. The Bloom-Carroll graduate's journey through France, Italy, and Turkey has shaped his impressive craftsmanship, which he's now sharing through glassblowing classes and a mobile studio that will soon bring artistic demonstrations directly to community events.

As one creative flame ignites, another beloved tradition prepares for its seasonal farewell. The Lancaster Farmers Market will host its fall finale on October 4, giving locals one last chance to stock up on fresh produce and handmade goods from favorites like Thriving K-9 Barkshop and Ochs Fruit Farm. Meanwhile, the community mourns the loss of Wade Duane Gill, a multifaceted public servant whose 67 years included roles as a sheriff's dispatcher, Murray City mayor, and devoted family man.
