🎻 Summer symphony

Good morning, Hocking County. A symphony of artistic expression is about to unfold across our community this summer. The Lancaster Festival Orchestra welcomes new music director John Devlin, who arrives with an impressive lineup featuring everything from Tchaikovsky classics to collaborations with Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox and singer Colbie Caillat. His personal invitation to attend these orchestral events feels like the perfect overture to a season of cultural renewal.

As summer transitions to fall, local artists are preparing their canvases and crafts for the 51st annual Hocking Hills Artists showcase in September. Meanwhile, a more sobering note resonates through our community as the Hocking Hills Inspire Shelter reduces its hours due to funding shortages. Currently at capacity, the shelter is just $100 away from purchasing an annual children's museum pass that would provide valuable daytime activities for residents during closure hours.
