Good morning, Hocking County. Time capsules come in many forms, but few are as emotionally powerful as Berne Union's graduation photo collection spanning 2009-2016. These frozen moments capture it all—the cap tosses, tearful embraces, and milestone celebrations like retiring principal Robert Starr's standing ovation during his final commencement. The images remind us how quickly these fleeting moments of achievement and transition become cherished memories in our community's shared history.

Cat owners, mark your calendars for May 17 when the Pet Orphanage's affordable spay/neuter clinic registration opens at the Logan-Hocking County Library—but plan to arrive early as lines form quickly. Meanwhile, music enthusiasts have something to anticipate this summer as Grammy winner Patty Griffin makes her return to Stuart's Opera House on June 27, bringing her emotional authenticity and lyrical depth back to Nelsonville after her memorable 2022 performance.
