Good morning, Hamilton County. Two centuries of educational history will be celebrated on Monday as Covington Schools kicks off its bicentennial at Holmes High School. What began with just 20 students and a single teacher in 1825 has blossomed into a cornerstone institution, with Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman joining staff for a commemorative "200" formation on the football field – a living testament to how far this Kentucky district has come.

The spirit of community continues across the river where purple footprints will soon mark the path to recovery on the aptly-named Purple People Bridge. Transitions, Inc.'s September 4th event unites our tri-state region in support of those overcoming Substance Use Disorders. And for music lovers seeking local sounds, MadTree Taproom's free Light Night concert on September 6th offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy Cincinnati bands Carriers, Wussy Duo, and Lylak without spending a dime.
