Good morning, Geauga County. Mark your calendars for September 9th — that's when the troublesome intersection at State Route 608 and Chardon-Windsor Road finally gets its long-awaited safety upgrade. ODOT crews will transform the crossing into a four-way stop complete with new signage and painted stop bars, addressing concerns that have plagued local drivers. The timing seems particularly poignant given this weekend's arrest of a Concord Township man allegedly clocked at 83 mph with twice the legal alcohol limit on SR 306.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes of Cleveland's celebrated Jewish FilmFest, three passionate women are bringing cinema magic to life. Co-chairs Sue Wish-Baratz, Janet Stotter, and Elizabeth Sunshine spend six months meticulously reviewing hundreds of submissions to curate the perfect 33-film lineup. Their dedication to the in-theater experience over streaming highlights something increasingly rare — the power of watching thought-provoking stories together as a community rather than alone on our couches.
