Good morning, Geauga County. As spring migration reaches its peak, Veterans Park is becoming a hotspot for winged visitors and the humans who adore them. The Blackbrook Audubon Society's monthly bird survey on May 25 offers a perfect opportunity to spot Eastern Kingbirds and colorful warblers along accessible trails, with binoculars available for those who arrive empty-handed but full of curiosity.

Meanwhile, contrasting community events are taking shape across the region. Cleveland Heights faces tension with an "Emergency #EndJewHatred Protest" planned for Monday following controversial remarks allegedly made by the mayor's wife. On a brighter note, young entrepreneurs will soon have their moment in the spotlight as Chardon Square's beloved KidsFest & Flea Market returns June 14, continuing a cherished tradition that transforms the historic square into a hub of youthful commerce and family fun.
