The West Virginia Municipal League has officially crowned its royalty in the world of city administration, naming Point Pleasant's Shannon Pearson as City Clerk of the Year. This prestigious recognition celebrates her exceptional service to the community and comes alongside her new leadership role as Vice President of the City Clerks Association. Mayor Amber Tatterson couldn't contain her pride in Pearson's well-deserved achievement that puts our region in the spotlight.
Meanwhile, actual crowns were being distributed at the Mason County Fair, where Lillian Bowles emerged victorious among seven contestants to claim the 2025 Fair Queen title. The evening's pageantry featured runners-up Olivia Stanley, Malea Bechtle, and Delaney Pearson, with special awards distributed for community service and presentation. The younger set wasn't left out either, as Brooke Engle and Dexter Peaytt earned their royal titles as Little Miss and Mr. Mason County earlier that day.

Lillian Bowles was named the 2025 Mason County Fair Queen during Monday's pageant, besting six other contestants for the coveted title. Olivia Stanley, Malea Bechtle, and Delaney Pearson were named runners-up in the West Virginia competition that drew a large crowd. Special awards were distributed among contestants, including Delaney winning the Brandy Barkey Community Service Award and Top Evening Gown.
