Good morning, Gallia County. The fairgrounds buzzed with energy as over 1,000 people flocked to Lawrence County's inaugural Trade Day, where 70+ vendors offered everything from livestock to local cuisine. What began as Montana Runnels' fundraiser for turkey pens surpassed all expectations, hitting its financial target and prompting an encore event on August 30 to support additional 4-H fairground improvements.

Meanwhile, community support networks are expanding their reach throughout the region. The Mason County Family Resource Network is diving into summer with ambitious plans—from a Fishing Rodeo expecting hundreds of participants to job preparation workshops and new food distribution programs. Their impressive growth mirrors the local Girl Scout program, which has blossomed from just three participants to 22, showing how grassroots initiatives continue to strengthen our community fabric.
