Gallia County • February 18, 2025
Good morning, Gallia County. The Defenders lived up to their name last night, and we're not talking about Marvel superheroes. Ohio Valley Christian's basketball squad unleashed a defensive masterclass against Scioto Christian, turning what started as a competitive matchup into a 66-33 statement victory that had the home crowd on their feet.
While the Defenders were making headlines on the court, another kind of craftsmanship was taking shape at Mason County Career Center. The SkillsUSA team isn't just welding metal - they're forging community connections with their new Moose Lodge sign project. As these students prepare to showcase their talents at the state competition, they remind us that sometimes the best way to build a stronger community is quite literally building something for it.

🔍 Three years later, Grace Smith's mysterious disappearance still haunts Point Pleasant. The mother of two vanished after visiting her parents' home in February 2021, leaving her car and belongings behind in West Virginia's TNT Area. Mason County Sheriff's Office suspects foul play, noting Smith's consistent family contact before disappearing. Despite hundreds of tips, multiple property searches, and a $7,500 reward, investigators have found no answers in the case of the 5'4" woman with blue eyes and gray hair.
