🚑 Local heroes shine

Gallia County • February 3, 2025

Good morning, Gallia County. The numbers coming out of Lawrence County EMS tell a remarkable story - over 1,000 emergency calls in December alone, adding up to a staggering 12,622 runs in 2023. That's 34 daily emergencies where local heroes rushed to help their neighbors, making split-second decisions that saved lives while somehow maintaining their reputation for exceptional care and knowledge.

Speaking of impressive numbers, Fairland's basketball teams put on quite a show this week, with both Dragons squads lighting up the scoreboard against our Blue Angels and Blue Devils. Bailey Russell's 23-point performance and Cliff Fransen's sharpshooting display (including five three-pointers) reminded us that sometimes the dragons breathing fire on the court aren't the ones from House Targaryen.
