Good morning, Franklin County. A financial game-changer is reshaping higher education in central Ohio. The newly announced "Buckeye Bridge" program will create a tuition-free pathway from Columbus State to Ohio State for students from families earning under $100,000. Starting fall 2026, this initiative aims to remove financial barriers for over 1,000 transfer students annually, potentially transforming thousands of educational journeys while strengthening Ohio's talent pipeline.

In restaurant news, the Rusty Bucket at Liberty Center is closing its doors next month as Cameron Mitchell Restaurants adjusts its portfolio throughout the region. Meanwhile, mark your calendars for October 25 when whiskey enthusiasts will gather at Henmick Farm Brewery in Delaware for the Ohio Craft Whiskey Festival. For $50, you'll enjoy eight tastings amidst live music and food trucks when tickets go on sale September 26.
