On the youth wellness front, Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel has launched a new fitness initiative targeting fourth through eighth graders across Ohio schools. Former Buckeye standout Ted Ginn Jr. joined the announcement, emphasizing proper nutrition and physical activity goals. Meanwhile, a more somber development has unfolded with the arrest of 18-year-old Keyshaun Harper in connection with a fatal July 5 shooting on West Broad Street that claimed the life of 32-year-old Shaunquan Walker.
