Good morning, Franklin County. Mark your calendars for an explosion of science and creativity as the Midwest's largest STEAM festival transforms Columbus this week. COSI's Science Festival kicks off today with over 100 community events designed to inspire future innovators, culminating in Saturday's Big Science Celebration where 135 exhibitors will showcase hands-on activities in the parks surrounding the museum. This educational extravaganza arrives just as tickets go on sale for another family favorite – "CoComelon: Sing-A-long LIVE" – bringing JJ and friends to Merson Auditorium this October.
In less uplifting news, a local car dealer faces serious consequences after allegedly rolling back odometers by up to 100,000 miles. Simon Nwaru Jr. now confronts federal charges for deceptive practices at his Whitehall dealership between 2020-2022. The case highlights a nationwide problem costing American consumers more than $1 billion annually – a sobering reminder that even in our high-tech world, old-fashioned fraud remains stubbornly persistent.
