The SuitShop has already opened its doors, offering affordable suits and tuxedos starting at $199 in its first Ohio location next to Saks Off Fifth. SITKA Gear, a Montana-based technical hunting apparel retailer owned by the makers of GORE-TEX, will soon debut its eighth U.S. store near Ted's Montana Grill. Local favorite Sí Señor is expanding its Peruvian sandwich empire to Easton, marking its first location to offer dinner service. These additions join recent arrivals Del Mar restaurant and the upcoming Bar Italia in refreshing the 25-year-old shopping center's lineup.

🍸 Over 300 cocktail enthusiasts packed Columbus venue for ultimate mixology showdown. The Fall 2024 Cocktail Competition, hosted by Columbus Monthly at Vitria on the Square, featured creative concoctions from 18 local bars and restaurants. The Lion's "Peachy Keen" cocktail clinched first place in the audience-judged competition, followed by innovative entries from The Whitney House and Rooh. Noble Cut Distillery sponsored the spirited event, which was enhanced by live jazz from the Hayden Huffman Trio. The evening showcased Columbus's vibrant craft cocktail scene while guests mingled and sampled unique drinks ranging from the traditional to the adventurous "I Like it Weird" by House of Spirits.

🍝 Downtown Columbus pioneer Due Amici turns 20 on Gay Street. The Italian restaurant, owned by Jeff Mathes, was among the first establishments to stake its claim in what has now become one of Columbus's hottest dining districts. Through two decades, Due Amici has entertained guests with Monday night jazz performances, wine happy hours, and signature dishes like crispy calamari and fried peppadew peppers. The venue has witnessed everything from casual dining to cultural moments, including hosting patrons during a 2018 LGBTQ dance party protest of then-Vice President Mike Pence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Cole, and her parents, Eldon Foster and Rita Wileschael. Mary is survived by her brothers, Robert Foster and Joe Wileschael, as well as her children, Lorenzo (Amy), Teresa, Timothy Devolld, and Heather Devolld, and grandson, Andrew (Katerina) Cole. Interment will take place later at Grove City Cemetery, with private arrangements handled by Cook & Son - Pallay Funeral Home.

John R. Murphy III, 72, passed away on December 26, 2024, after a courageous life marked by health challenges, including esophageal stenosis and epilepsy. A Westerville High School graduate, he retired from the State of Ohio in 2007 and was an active member of the Shamrock Club of Columbus, enjoying travel by COTA bus and sharing cheesy jokes. He is survived by his sister Sandee, nieces Michaela and Siobhan, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
