Good morning, Fayette County. Mark your calendars for September 9, 2025 – a date that could potentially transform career trajectories across our region. The upcoming Ohio National Guard and ODOT career expo in Delaware will bring together over 40 businesses and agencies, creating a rare opportunity for both veterans and civilians to explore new professional paths. With one-on-one meetings available for those who register early, this collaboration represents precisely the kind of community-focused initiative that helps strengthen our workforce foundations.

Meanwhile, patience has finally paid off in Highland County, where commissioners have accepted completion of their long-awaited records building after a 300-day delay and nearly $2.8 million investment. The facility arrives just as local green thumbs celebrate Shannon Daugherty's impressive sweep at the Highland County Fair Dahlia Show, capturing multiple top honors including Best of Show. Flower enthusiasts can continue the horticultural excitement at the Hillsboro Garden Club's Fall Plant and Bulb Auction on September 23.
